In this blog post, we will provide you with a list of ways to fix the Instagram error message: You have reached the limit for the number of Businesses you can create at this time.

You may be wondering how many businesses one person could possibly need on Instagram.

The answer is that it depends on your needs and what platform you are using for your business.

For example, if you are doing a lot of video marketing or promoting an event, then having more than one business account might help increase reach within a specific niche.

You should also consider that some people use their personal accounts as their business page and vice versa.

You should work with what works best for your company in order to get the most out of all social media platforms!

You have reached the limit for the number of Businesses you can create at this time

Sometimes when you’re trying to switch from a personal account on Instagram to a business one, you might start getting this error:

You have reached the limit for the number of Businesses you can create at this time

You have reached the limit for the number of Businesses you can create at this time

There are two main reasons that could be causing this issue:

  • you’ve created too many business accounts that are linked to your Facebook
  • you’re trying to link your Instagram business account to a page that has had its ad account disabled

I didn’t have my Facebook ad account disabled but I have switched multiple personal accounts of mine from personal to business when automating my Instagram marketing, and when I started getting this error, most people suggested that I should switch devices and change IP.

I tried it but it didn’t go away. I even tried deleting some pages that I didn’t need but that too didn’t help.

What finally worked for me was to create an extra page on Facebook and when it came to linking from Instagram, I didn’t link to the page I had just created but instead, I linked to an older page, and voila, it worked!

I could create a business page on Instagram once again!

That’s one solution.

The second solution is to create a Facebook page, go to the settings where you’ll select Instagram, and link from it.

This works best when you’re on your desktop and are logged in to the personal account you’re trying to switch to business.

The third solution is to disconnect your Instagram account from the Facebook account that it’s connected to and then start a new Facebook page where you can now create a page to link to from Instagram.

Unlinking your Instagram from Facebook

Unlinking your Instagram from Facebook is pretty self-explanatory as explained here by Instagram, but I’ll post here anyways:

  1. Just go to your Instagram account and tap on the three lines icon at the top-right corner
  2. Tap the setting icon
  3. Go to Linked Accounts
  4. You can then hit Unlink/Unlink Account and then tap Yes to agree.

From here on you only need to create a new Facebook page and a page to link to your Instagram. Don’t worry, you won’t lose previous Instagram business pages you created on your old account.

You should now have your personal Instagram page switched to business. If you’re stuck anywhere please let us know in the comments section.

Until next time!
