- Go to your profile and tap on the three dots at the very top-right corner
- Scroll down to the CACHE & CELLULAR DATA section and tap on Clear cache and it’ll clear your cache in two seconds
- You can now go back to your For You page to start customizing your feed.
How to Customize Your For You Page
As explained in the video below, TikTok tailors your Fyp based on your previous interactions with the videos it showed.
So, in order to customize your Fyp feed, you’re going to tell TikTok what videos you like, and what videos you don’t.
To do this, scroll down to videos that come up on your feed, and when you see a type of video that you want to see, like that video, and move to the next.
Now when you see a type of video that you don’t want to see in the future, hold down on the screen and a small menu with the option to select ‘Not interested‘ will pop up. Tap on this option and move to the next video.
The ‘More >‘ setting next to ‘Not interested‘ provides you with two more options to hide videos you don’t want to see in the future:
- Hide videos from this user
- Hide videos with this sound
The other option to tell TikTok what videos to show you is to use the search function to type names of users or videos that you like.
