A lot of users who’ve had their Instagram accounts disabled are now getting a message saying ‘Confirm your account to request a review‘ when trying to recover disabled Instagram accounts.
It is not clear what’s causing this issue but it’s likely caused by submitting the appeal form from a device other than the one you were using before the ban.
This issue also seems more prevalent in certain geographical locations than others.
There are two ways to get around this, as far as we know, one involving some manual work, the other, using an automation tool for recovering disabled Instagram accounts.
If you wish to do it manually, here’s what you need to do:
- open the Instagram app and log in as you normally would before the ban
- you should be notified that your account has been disabled. You can now go ahead and make an appeal to have it restored.
This is what has worked for most people that have asked me for help.
If you’re still getting the same message clear the cookies on your phone and try again. In certain cases, it might even require you to reset your device to factory settings. Just make sure to back up your phone before you do this.
You can also use a VPN to change the location on your phone and then submit your appeal from different geographical locations.
Using the AppealBot to bypass the ‘Confirm your account to request a review‘ message
Other than that, using the appeal bot is the only other way to bypass this issue.

Its database contains stock images like the one above so that when Instagram replies requesting that you take a picture holding a paper with a code written on it, the bot will pick one image, attach the code to it and send in the appeal to Instagram.
Once you’ve added your account to the bot, you won’t have to do anything else other than sit and wait until your Instagram account is recovered.
